Produced by Paul Epworth at The Church Studios in London, ‘Delta’ finds the band in sparkling, experimental form. Coupling their penchant for the grandiose and the intimate, the British four-piece paint their sound with a broad range of colours and textures. It’s a record that they are immensely proud of and draws on their own individual and collective experiences over the past two years since the writing and recording process for ‘Delta’ commenced. On Thursday evening, fans connected around the world for a series of special album playback events, where ‘Delta’ was accompanied by visuals curated by, and in partnership with, National Geographic. It was an idea by the band, originally inspired by their own creation process of the album. Mumford & Sons:- "While we were recording and mixing Delta, we watched a lot of films on silent including some pretty epic wildlife films by National Geographic -- like a vision-track to our soundtrack. So, we felt it would be a nice idea to let fans experience the record in this way too” Watch Mumford & Sons performing Guiding Light on the Graham Norton Show HERE The band have just last week kicked off a huge, sixty-three date tour. The tour starts in Dublin, and stops in London at the O2 Arena on the 29th November. Support for the UK run comes from Maggie Rogers. Muse announces special Royal Albert Hall show on 3rd December in aid of the Prince's Trust6/10/2018 Muse have announced an intimate live show at The Royal Albert Hall on Monday, December 3rd to benefit The Prince’s Trust. This concert is the band’s first performance in the UK since their headline show at Reading and Leeds in August 2017, and marks ten years since they last took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall. Matt Bellamy of Muse said:- “For a long time, we’ve admired the work of The Prince’s Trust. When we were starting out as a band the Trust actually gave us a small grant to buy our first PA system, which I still have to this day. It really helped set us up on the right road and we’re delighted to be able to play a show to raise funds for them.” An ‘early access’ ticket pre-sale will take place on Wednesday 10th October for fans who have pre-ordered the new album, Simulation Theory, released 9th November. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 12th October at 9am through Gigs And Tours. ID ticketing will be in operation with tickets limited to two per person. The band will be partnering with Twickets for fan to fan resale. In addition there will be a chance to win a unique VIP experience to attend the concert, including a guided tour with the band of the iconic building before the show and a song dedication during the set. For more information click here. Talking about the show, Nick Stace, Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust says: “We’re incredibly proud to count the band Muse among our alumni here at The Prince’s Trust, and thrilled that they are putting on this special concert in aid of the charity. The show will raise vital funds for the work we do at The Prince’s Trust to help young people reach their potential and achieve their dreams”. Youth charity The Prince’s Trust helps young people to develop the confidence and skills they need to realise their ambitions, so that they can live, learn and earn. Founded by The Prince of Wales in 1976, the charity supports 11 to 30-year-olds, who are unemployed, struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness, mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law. The programmes offered by the charity give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training. The Trust has helped over 900,000 young people to date and supports over 100 more each day. Band Statement: "Hey guys finally we are ready to give you this great news! We are really proud to announce that we will meet our Japanese friends on May! Thank to Rnr Tours - Japan Tour Booking Team we will tour in Japan with 5 shows to promote our new album "Seities" (2017, Wormholedeath). For us it's one of the best things that happened in our life. This is a dream come true since we started our band in 2003. We grew up together and thanks to this band after 15 years of life, 3 albums and a lot of gigs we finally reach the goal of a Japan Tour in 2018. We are so happy that we can't wait to meet all our Japanese Friends finally in person. www.rnrtours.com twitter.com/FankazBand www.facebook.com/fankaz Los Angeles post hardcore band Touché Amoré announce new UK headline shows ahead of their appearance at 2000 Trees in July. Support on these dates comes from Brighton's Gender Roles: July 10 – Portsmouth, UK @ Wedgewood Rooms July 11 – London, UK @ The Dome July 12 - Nottingham, UK @ Rescue Rooms July 13 - Cave Stage, Cheltenham, UK @ 2000 Trees Formed in Burbank, California, across 2007 and 2008, the band’s urgent sound, with its melodic sonic assault and impassioned vocals, has grown tighter and more refined through a trio of full-length albums and a series of EP’s and releases. Since those early days, lead singer Jeremy Bolm, guitarists Nick Steinhardt and Clayton Stevens, bassist Tyler Kirby, and drummer Elliot Babin have created a trajectory for themselves through hard work and dedication. And with 2016's Stage Four, their fourth and biggest album to date, they cemented their status as one of rock music’s most talented, relatable, and visceral acts. “I don’t open up to people too much in regular life, but when I’m writing songs, I want to be as open and as honest as possible,” Bolm confesses. Touché albums have always served as an emotional outlet for Bolm. So when the time came to write Stage Four there was no question that it would be about passing of Bolm’s mother in late 2014. Stage Four was recorded in early 2016 in Studio City, CA with producer Brad Wood. Cathartic in delivery, highly sentimental, and sonically triumphant, Stage Four is an emblem of a band both living its dream and marred by loss. And with Stage Four, Touché Amoré unmistakably made the biggest, boldest, and most artistic statement of their career. Having just recently wrapped up an extensive European tour with Lacuna Coil, Switzerland's New Wave Of Folk Rock trio Cellar Darling are excited to announce that they will be hitting the road once again! The band left quite an impression on UK audiences when they made their London debut last year playing sold out shows with Delain on the ‘Danse Macabre Tour’, so it comes as great news that they’ll be returning for a run of shows across Ireland, Scotland and England in March/April. News on supports coming soon! Of the upcoming tour, the band comments: "We are beyond excited to announce our first headline tour visiting Ireland, Scotland and England! These are some of the most beautiful places in the world, and we feel a special connection to each of them. Ireland is Anna’s second homeland, Merlin’s year is never complete without his pilgrimage to the highlands and Isles - that’s where they produce our favourite drink too! And of course some of the most important places in rock music history. It is about time that we bring our music over for an extended visit, after the incredible welcome we received at our first show in London last year! We can’t wait to rock out with you all!" - Anna, Ivo & Merlin Cellar Darling tour dates: 31.03.2018 Dublin – On The Rox 01.04.2018 Glasgow - Audio 03.04.2018 Manchester, Rebellion 05.04.2018 London - Boston Music Rooms Tickets are now on sale - for ticket links, keep an eye on the band’s website Check out Cellar Darling’s latest music video for ‘Six Days’, created by the legendary band artwork master Costin Chioreanu: https://youtu.be/jiHt3qR4gzM www.cellardarling.com www.facebook.com/cellardarlingofficial www.nuclearblast.de/cellardarling After releasing their current album ‘spin’ (stylized all in lower case) and playing last summer’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, Tigers Jaw will return to the UK in April for a fresh tour that includes their biggest London show to date at Bush Hall. Recorded with producer and long-time collaborator Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA, ‘spin’ finds Walsh and Collins trading lead vocals which glow with sincerity on a collection of incredibly understated indie-pop classics. Tracks such as ‘Guardian’, ‘June’ and ‘Escape Plan’ shine on an album which exhibits the duo’s remarkable ability to use melody and introspection to capture the sentiments and complexities of a moment. http://tigersjaw.com/ https://open.spotify.com/artist/0tLaqkKW7K6tc3QF9SM0M8 https://www.facebook.com/tigersjaw https://twitter.com/tigersjaw https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5LogF3cSx64B4Bf3HE2TJg https://www.instagram.com/tigersjaw/ Ireland's Pillow Queens announces April Ireland & UK tour; unveils acoustic 'Favourite' video6/2/2018 Pillow Queens recently released the mother of all catchy tunes in the form of ‘Favourite’, alongside the announcement of a new EP ‘State of The State’. Following the EP’s release (via Specialist Subject on 16th March), Pillow Queens will head off on tour around their native Ireland and the UK. ‘Favourite’ has also received a re-working in an acoustic video filmed by Pillow Queens, which showcases a delicately softer arrangement that packs no less of an emotional punch. Check it here: https://youtu.be/lxLJ53YGdX4 Despite the sunny disposition of Pillow Queens’ catchy melodies and rambunctious riffs, the songs found on ‘State of The State’ tend to have a darker undercurrent. Opener ‘Puppets’ is “a song about the frustration of trying to succeed in post-recession Ireland and the effect that has on mental health,” explains vocalist/guitarist/bassist Sarah Corcoran. Elsewhere on the EP, the band muse on emotional highs and lows, the inevitability of anxiety and paranoia. Producer Peter Ashmore tapped into the wide-reaching references PQ threw at him, which included the likes of Hop Along, Yuck, Weezer, Manchester Orchestra and the Pixies, in order to attain a timeless feel befitting of the beautifully crafted songs. The artwork for the EP was brought to life by Nola Mellon and is inspired by the old Fallon’s maths times table book you used to have in primary school. J. Willgoose, Esq. of PSB says: ‘Modern Kosmology was one of my favourite albums of 2017 so we’re really happy that Jane is joining the bill. I’m sure our audiences will really enjoy her music.’ After a stunning 2017 which saw the release of their critically acclaimed third record Every Valley and a sold-out UK tour which included a spectacular performance at London's Hammersmith Apollo, 2018 looks set to continue along the same trajectory for one of the UK's most unusual and interesting musical acts as they take to the road again this April. [Buy tickets here] Each album from Public Service Broadcasting is a painstakingly crafted artefact, filled with the wit and passion of J. Willgoose, Esq. and Every Valley is no exception. Recorded in former industrial town Ebbw Vale and chronicling the vertiginous rise and devastating fall of the Welsh mining industry, it featured collaborations with Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura, James Dean Bradfield, Haiku Salut and Lisa Jên Brown of 9Bach, as well as the Beaufort Male Choir. The resulting album jostled with Jay Z and Ed Sheeran on release, reaching #4 in the UK charts. Continuing where they left off in October, their forthcoming UK tour is a culmination of the Public Service Broadcasting story so far: a richly kaleidoscopic feast of sound and vision placing material from their three top-twenty albums, 2013’s Inform – Educate – Entertain, 2015’s silver-certified The Race For Space, and this year’s Every Valley (not to mention the accompanying documentary footage and recordings) alongside one another. Fans of the band have come to expect a lot from the extraordinary production values of Public Service Broadcasting’s live shows, and resident set design guru and all-round visual mastermind, Mr. B, is thrilled at the opportunity to once again blow these expectations clean out of the water with another set of heart-stopping blockbuster set-pieces. As much a part of the Public Service Broadcasting experience as the [inter]stellar sonics, Mr. B’s visuals elevate each gig into an unmissable event. Described as “a singular, spellbinding audio-visual show” in The Metro and “a tour de force”, Public Service Broadcasting’s live gigs are a perfect distillation of a band dedicated to their duty to entertain as much as to educate and inform.
