Following twenty albums over 50 years, Yoko Ono's Warzone is strikingly different from any record she has made previously, but it is also strikingly different from any album that anyone is making... Yoko revisits and re-imagines 13 songs from her past work, spanning 1970-2009, the lyrics and messages still pertinent—perhaps even more pertinent—in 2018. "The world is so messed up. Things are very difficult for everybody. It's a warzone that we are living in..." says Ono. "I like to create things in a new way. Every day things change." The recordings and arrangements on Warzone are very stripped down, with a particular emphasis on Yoko's voice and lyrics. Here in this minimalist landscape the content of her message rings clear and unencumbered; sometimes somber warnings, sometimes uplifting encouragement, but her wisdom and fortitude are unflinchingly strong, her power having intensified with time and life experience. She ends the ominous questions of "Now Or Never" (1971) with one of her most famous and inspiring lines: "[a] Dream you dream alone is only a dream, but dream we dream together is reality." Warzone further builds the legacy of an artist unparalleled in her unique and singular vision. At 85 years young, Ono is already plotting her next album... It is not too late to change the world. We need Yoko now more than ever. Warzone will be in stores on October 19 on Chimera Music, the label run by Sean Ono Lennon. Leading up to the release date, Yoko will releasing a new song each Tuesday on her website ImaginePeace.com and on streaming services.

Born to Japanese & Romanian / Irish parents, Alyusha has a rich musical heritage, which as a producer she combines with her influence of industrial, city sonic landscapes. This combination of influences creates a futuristic and sometimes jarring sound, juxtaposing light and dark with provoking songwriting. Since her second single "Paradise" with Linden Jay charted at Number 2 on Spotify’s ‘Global Viral Charts’, she’s toured Europe alongside working on new material in the studio, collaborating with other artists and spent some time in Tokyo where she immersed herself and collected sounds from the city. One of the artists that the progressive, classically trained musician collaborated with is Warp’s “ghetto futuristic artist” Gaika where she features on and co-produced “The Deal”. “Cracks” has a smooth yet experimental interplay between formation and demolition delivered by her soothing vocals, effortlessly malleable in character with a sound that while soul-infused orbits around the fascinatingly cold decaying tones of jarred Hip Hop and a unique R&B hybrid. Alyusha doubles down the attack with lyrics that tackle emotion and personal subjects with a lawless attitude. Discussing Japanese philosophical ideologies such as ‘wabi sabi (embracing the imperfect) and ‘kintsugi’ (the ancient art form of mending cracks with gold paint in pottery). This symbolises the belief that only something that has been broken has the potential to transform in to becoming something more beautiful. While lyrically her vocals are lucid and inviting; the grimy production on her first cut of 2018 transfers its tough and unforgiving strength to the listener. Check out “Cracks” (Listen here) and stay tuned for more from “Little God” EP https://www.facebook.com/alyusha.official/ NYC songwriter, producer and musician Amber Mark has shared her new single 'Love Me Right' (Listen HERE). The lead from her upcoming Conexão EP, the track is available to buy and stream everywhere today via PMR/Virgin EMI. Raised across Europe and Asia, and based in New York City, Amber Mark weaves her deep knowledge of international styles into a stunning musical tapestry. Growing up on a diet of soul, R&B, bossa nova and electronica, Amber's rich songwriting and production talents were distilled into her 2016 release - the '3.33am EP'. The release was a dedication to her late mother and an exploration of how grief can birth incredible creativity. Now on Conexão, Amber is turning her sights to the future. "It's about my process of finding love again," she explains of the project. "It's like you're reading a book about my life and this is the next chapter." On stunning lead single 'Love Me Right', Amber lays out the terms of a relationship over pared-down, purposeful R&B rhythms. Like all her music, the song is an honest reflection of real-life emotion. The Conexão EP confirms Amber Mark as one of 2018's most inventive artists, both as a songwriter and a producer. This summer, Amber performs at Moogfest as part of an all-women line-up. "Music production has been such a male dominated industry," she says. "It's definitely important for me to champion women producers". In amongst worldwide tour dates and further releases, Amber's first 2018 release is a mission statement for the year ahead. He was only 34 years old. Best known for his involvement in the most recent albums by the veteran act Front Line Assembly, he was also the co-founder of Left Spine Down (LSD) and produced tracks for various other well known musicians. Based in Vancouver, he was welcomed into Front Line Assembly in 2005, co-writing and producing the album ‘Artificial Soldier’ that was released the following year. He also toured with the band, including festival appearances at the likes of Mera Luna, Summer Darkness and Amphi Festival and the band’s first ever appearances in Russia. He continued working with FLA on their ensuing albums ‘Improvised Electronic Device’, ‘Airmech’ (a video game soundtrack) and ‘Echogenetic’. Jeremy’s involvement with FLA (plus their frontman Bill Leeb's side-project Noise Unit) provided him with the opportunity to present his ‘other’ band to a wider public, with the result that Left Spine Down toured with the likes of Revolting Cocks, The Birthday Massacre, Genitorturers and oHGr, plus a large scale North American trek with 16volt and Chemlab in 2010. Blending elements of industrial, punk and alternative rock into a sound that was catchy yet abrasive, melodic yet fist-pumping, with detailed electronica-style programming and a ‘fuck you’ punk attitude, Jeremy had formed LSD with frontman Kaine Delay. The duo’s final album, ‘Caution’, was released soon after the group had signed with Metropolis Records. Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly has this to say of Jeremy : “I am truly shocked, heartbroken and saddened beyond belief. Jeremy’s animated larger than life personality will be truly missed. Everyone who met him walked away saying that he was one of the nicest people they had ever met. His creativity will also be sorely missed. He had a huge passion for for music, film and a love of performing. We had recently started creating ideas for a new FLA album, while he also participated on our upcoming ‘Airmech 2’ release, which we are dedicating to his memory. Rest easy…. there will always be a place for you with us.” Metropolis Records have stated that : “We are stunned and saddened to learn of Jeremy's sudden death. We wish to extend our deepest condolences to his family, bandmates and friends. His family requests that anyone wishing to make a gesture in his memory to please make a cash donation at your local food bank. They also request that we all please remember Jeremy for the kind, funny, soulful and talented person that he was." ‘Hologram Moon’ is the first album in five years by the Italian electronic dark wave act Kirlian Camera. It includes the autumn 2017 single ’Sky Collapse’, which saw frontwoman Elena Alice Fossi duetting with Eskil Simonsson of Covenant. A song about blackening skies and disquieting scenarios, it was written by Fossi with band mate Angelo Bergamini and mixed by the legendary producer John Fryer. The song dominated the German Alternative Charts in the final quarter of the year. However, ‘Sky Collapse’ was merely a portent of something more epic, as the full album shows off Kirlian Camera at the peak of their powers. Not only do new songs such as ‘Eyes Of The Moon’, ’Travellers Testament’ and ‘Polar IHS’ seem destined to repeat the club success of the first single, but the lyrical subject matter is also intriguing. The album title itself comes from a conspiracy theory that suggests the moon is no harmless satellite orbiting the earth, but a visual hologram sheltering an artificial and possibly alien construct. Whether taken seriously or not, ‘Hologram Moon’ sees the band engaging in subversive play with perspectives and alternative realities. With pitch shifted samples and their signature groove, Never Think Of You builds on previous single Texas with the stirring synths of Mike Slott and a tender vocal performance from vocalist Diane Badie. “Never Think of You is about long distance relationships, falling in love, and the insecurities and fears that come with that. It’s about the white lies in a dating scene that can make it pretty hard to be yourself. You stay up all night thinking of someone you really like, but you’ll hide those feelings until you can’t breathe.” Lesser Pieces is the electronic project from Irish multi-dimensional producer Mike Slott and New York-born Egyptian singer-songwriter / composer Diane Badie. It is the culmination of the duo's lauded musical history – a vulnerable yet euphoric statement on modern popular music. Lesser Pieces was spawned from collaborative writing sessions on each of the artist's solo records in Brooklyn – after their first track together “Nightingale” caught the ear of Paul Epworth (Adele, FKA Twigs) who would go on to invite them to work on another project and introduce them to their future producer and close confidant, Patrick Ford (!!!, Tanlines). Written in New York, Dublin, Los Angeles, and London, the beautifully cascading style of Lesser Pieces is a partnership of universal ideals, combining Mike Slott’s eulogized electronic soul – as heard on his releases and roots with LuckyMe – and Diane Badie’s haunting songwriting and siren-esque vocals. With more tracks recorded in recent sessions, 2018 promises to be a big one for Lesser Pieces. www.instagram.com/lesserpieces www.soundcloud.com/lesser-pieces Annie Lennox - an evening of music and conversation’ on 4th March at Sadler’s Wells Theatre11/11/2017 Annie Lennox will share thoughts, memories and reflections during a one night only event of conversation, musical performance and visual imagery on 4th March at Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
