Norwegian-Filipino singer-songwriter Clinton Kane headlines London's The Garage on 7th Nov2/10/2022 Norwegian-Filipino singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Clinton Kane has released his debut album "Maybe Someday It’ll All Be OK" via Columbia Records. The 9-track LP features RIAA Gold-certified lead singles “CHICKEN TENDIES” and “I GUESS I’M IN LOVE” as well as “GO TO HELL” and “14” in addition to five brand new tracks. Listen HERE. Touching on themes and personal experiences with loss, love, mental health, etc., Clinton might just make listeners feel strong enough to let their emotions out too. Kane says: “This album is a collection of personal experiences and key moments that have had an impact on my life. It’s unapologetically myself. I’ve been working on this project for three years, and to think this whole journey started from a panic attack that forced me to try writing a song is surreal to me. The name of the album was actually inspired by a phone call I had with a close friend. We were sharing stories about mutual trauma, and at the end of the call he said ‘maybe someday it’ll all be ok.’ It wasn’t too depressing, but not too optimistic either, and I’ve always felt like I live in that grey area - that juxtaposition between hopefulness and hopelessness.” Earlier this month, Clinton announced a massive global headline tour slated for the fall, which follows two sold-out North American headline runs the past year. The 53-date trek includes shows throughout Europe and Asia, concluding in his hometown of Perth, Australia on December 16. CLINTON KANE ON TOUR:
Additionally, Clinton will be contributing a portion of touring proceeds to various charities serving the different continents and cities he will be performing in. Visit https://www.clintonkane.com/ for tickets and more information. Clinton Kane isn’t afraid to cry. He’s also not afraid to ask questions, laugh, scream, speak his mind, or push the envelope. He might ponder God in one song only to wonder what the f*ck went wrong with a relationship in the next. For as wide-ranging as he may be lyrically and conceptually, he’s also a highly disciplined and self-taught singer, guitarist, pianist, drummer, and producer. As far as the story is concerned, Clinton bounced around from Perth, Australia to The UK as a kid. On a teenage sojourn to Santorini and beyond, he lived out of a backpack as he gained traction with a series of independent releases before signing to Columbia Records. In 2019, he served up the this is what it feels like EP before guesting on “Drown” by Martin Garrix in early 2020. Building an international fan base, he generated over 1 billion-plus streams across a catalogue highlighted by “Fix It To Break It,” “i don’t want to watch the world end with someone else,” and “remember the mornings.” He has also sold-out successive headline tours and incited the applause of NME, Billboard, and more in addition to landing on Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Asia.” The loss of three family members, heart breaking relationships, nights sleeping on park benches, and an unbelievable trip to the brink of adulthood inspired his 2022 full-length debut album, "Maybe Someday It’ll All Be OK [Columbia Records], featuring the gold-selling singles “Chicken Tendies” and “I Guess I’m In Love” as well as “Go To Hell” and “14.” Website | YouTube | TikTok | Twitter | Instagram | Facebook

Frank Turner’s current album ‘FTHC’ became his first #1 hit on the UK’s Official Album Chart. Appealing to a broad mix of genres - punk, folk, rock and indie - its success was all the more remarkable given that it is his ninth studio album. Now Frank keeps the album in the spotlight by sharing a new version of one of its key moments, ‘Little Life’, which now features KT Tunstall. The original version of ‘Little Life’ and the album’s subsequent ‘Farewell To The City’ combine to give ‘FTHC’ a feel of ending one chapter and waiting to see where the next journey leads to. ‘Little Life’ in particular is about those compromises we inevitably have to make as the years pass. While the song expresses a melancholic doubt about embracing a life far away from the manic rush of the city, its focus is really on the possibilities that this new horizon brings. Maybe love and a leisurely pace of life is all that a couple really needs. This new version is infused with a stronger romantic streak courtesy of KT Tunstall’s beautifully harmonised vocals. The duo revisited the song during a session at Eastcote Studios, London in March. Frank says:- “This song is one of the more important ones on ‘FTHC’ for me, and I wanted to shine more of a light on it. I was blown away, not to say honoured, when KT agreed to be part of the track, and she's brought a whole new life to the piece.” KT Tunstall adds:- “I’ve been a fan of Frank’s for such a long while - collaborating with him on this beautiful song was an absolute joy”. KT Tunstall has remained one of the UK’s foremost Singer-Songwriters since the release of her hugely successful debut album ‘Eye To The Telescope’ in 2004. The record went on to sell over 5 million copies and featured two of her signature songs, ‘Suddenly I See’ and ‘Black Horse and the Cherry Tree’, leading to prestigious awards at the BRITs and the Ivor Novellos. KT followed up that early success with albums ‘Drastic Fantastic’ (2007), ‘Tiger Suit’ (2010), ‘Invisible Empire//Crescent Moon’ (2013), ‘KIN’ (2016) and ‘WAX’ (2018), keeping the platinum sales rolling and cementing her reputation as a major recording talent, as well as a mesmerising live artist. Frank Turner’s live plans for the remainder of 2022 are characteristically hectic. He plays a handful of UK shows in the coming weeks before spending the majority of June and July touring North America. He then takes his four-night Lost Evenings fan congregation to Berlin for the first time in September before commencing his rescheduled UK headline tour. The UK dates are listed below, please see his website for a full list of international tour dates. MAY

As communicated on Saturday 14 May, the European Broadcasting Union's (EBU) independent pan-European Voting Partner detected irregular voting patterns in the jury votes of six countries taking part in the Second Semi-Final: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, San Marino. The integrity of the voting, both by the national juries in each country and the viewers voting by phone or SMS, is essential to the show’s success. It is the EBU’s duty to all stakeholders, not least all 40 participating public service broadcasters, to ensure we can deliver a valid result at the end of each of the Live Shows. Any breach in the rules is consequently taken very seriously. In the Second Semi-Final, it was observed that four of the six juries all placed five of the other countries in their Top Five (taking into account they could not vote for themselves); one jury voted for the same five countries in their Top 6; and the last of the six juries placed four of the others in the Top 4 and the fifth in their Top 7. Four of the six received at least one set of 12 points which is the maximum that can be awarded. The pattern in question was detected as irregular by the pan-European Voting Partner and acknowledged by the Independent Voting Monitor, as five of these six countries were ranked outside the Top 7 by the juries in the 15 other countries voting in the same Semi-Final (which included three of the Big Five: Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom). Additionally, four of the six countries were ranked in the Bottom 6 of the other 15 countries voting in this Semi-Final. A jury voting pattern irregularity of such a scale is unprecedented...... MIKA 2022 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES:
Over the course of their two albums to date, Klangstof have earned tastemaker tips from Clash, Complex, The FADER, The Line of Best Fit and Wonderland while also enjoying landmark moments such as becoming the first Dutch band to play Coachella and winning Best Alternative Act at the Edison Awards (the nation’s equivalent to the Grammys). Fuelled by a rush of creativity, they spent 2021 away from the public eye. It resulted in not one, but two new projects: their eagerly anticipated third album which will follow later this year, and the ‘Ocean View’ EP which is out now. The new EP proves that the wait has been worthwhile and offers an exciting and candid glimpse into the band’s current direction. It’s informed as much by open-ended experimentalism as it is by the inspiring connection of simply being able to again perform together as a band. The result is a natural, almost laid-back approach which allowed the EP’s sonics and emotions to fully flourish. The entire ‘Ocean View’ EP was quickly put together after their next album had been completed. The songs were written in two months, and then recorded in just five days with producer Thijs van der Klugt in Studio Kabaal in Haarlem. It was subsequently mixed by Sam Petts-Davies (Radiohead, Frank Ocean) and mastered by Heba Kadry (Björk, Big Thief, Deerhunter). Lead singer, Koen van de Wardt, recalls:- “Since we hadn’t been able to play live together for a while, we felt the need to record these tracks sitting in a room together, playing the songs from start to finish as a group. Most of the tracks have been recorded in just one or a few takes. The whole process was very refreshing, the energy in the room was incredible. We honestly think we’ve never sounded as much as a band as on this recording.” Earlier this year, the title track, ‘Ocean View’, was released to acclaim from The Times, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 6 Music, and KEXP to name but a few; and now the Dutch trio offer up 3 more sensational tracks. Firstly ‘Fools Rage’, with its downtempo beats and ethereal guitar, perfectly encapsulates what this exciting band are all about. Van de Wardt’s vocals weave across a dreamy soundscape as the track culminates in a magnificent outro that wouldn’t be out of place on a late 80s shoegaze record. Up next is ‘Silver Cloud’ which opens in an equally subdued manner, with a simple stomping drumbeat and gliding wavetable synthesizers driving the verse forward, only to reach a thunderous crescendo as the chorus crashes in. Amazingly the track nearly didn’t see the light of day: “We made the demo for Silver Cloud while we were still on the road in early 2020 and it was one of those little demos that would probably be too weird to make it on to a record” Van de Wardt recalls. “But it ended up on our private SoundCloud playlist and I remember Wannes being really excited about it, so we thought it would be a fun challenge to see if we could make this thing work”. And finally, ‘A Comforting Release’, provides the perfect ending to this experimental yet sonically tidy EP, amplifying the themes and textures explored during the preceding tracks, with van de Wardt explaining: “We wanted to end the EP with a bang. See if we could combine all the vibes we picked up on this ep into one closing piece.” The track’s subject matter represents the most emotional on the EP, with van de Wardt coming to terms with expressing his emotions and finding comfort in confronting his demons through talking with those close to him: “The lyrics are very special to me. I have always struggled with opening up to people, afraid that I will fall apart when it’s out there. But during the pandemic I’ve realised how to confront some of those demons by just talking about it. I’m done with finding comfort in being someone that I’m not and this song expresses that journey so far." In all, this new EP possesses everything that fans have come to adore from Klangstof, but again evolves their sound in a forward-thinking and streamlined direction. The ‘Ocean View’ EP is available HERE. Klangstof will follow the EP’s release by embarking upon an extensive European headline tour, which commences with a London gig at The Lexington.
