Copenhagen based d-beat hardcore quartet Parasight has completed a new video for the track "De Skyder," which has been debuted at Decibel Magazine. The song comes from the band's impending At Leve Som Hvis Der Var Et Håb LP, out March 9th via Indisciplinarian and Modstand Records. Of the simultaneously furious and melodic "De Skyder" ("they're shooting" in Danish), Parasight guitarist Allan Tvedebrink states, "'De skyder' is the second single from our new album, At Leve Som Hvis Der Var Et Håb, and marks our first video ever. Being a DIY band from the beginning, what else would be more obvious than to do the entire shit ourselves? Everything is filmed and edited by the band and of course we think it's pretty nifty! The song itself is one of the more melodic tracks of the album and deals with the concept of making profit of war and killing people." Decibel offers with the video, "Denmark's Parasight have a new album's worth of crust and metallic hardcore beatings to deliver with At Leve Som Hvis Der Var Et Håb, but they also have a softer side, as you'll hear on the more melodic hardcore-leaning cut 'De Skyder'." Watch Parasight's video for "De Skyder" at Decibel HERE. Also hear the previously-released "Bløder Blod" via No Echo RIGHT HERE. At Leve Som Hvis Der Var Et Håb will be released on LP and digital formats via Indisciplinarian and Modstand Records on March 9th; the LP version, limited to 500 copies worldwide, is available for preordering in the US HERE and internationally HERE. With their second full length At Leve Som Hvis Der Var Et HåB (Danish for "to live as if there was hope"), Parasight delivers a consistent metallic hardcore record which in its political songwriting carries an indignant system critique. With inspiration from the political Danish rock of the '70s, lyricist and lead singer Michael Aagesen writes easily intelligible anti-elite lyrics in which content is above form. At Leve... is produced by the band itself, mixed by Swedish producer legend Fredrik Nordström (Martyrdöd, At The Gates), mastered by Brad Boatright (Nails, From Ashes Rise), with artwork by German artist Philip Janta. Parasight will play a release show at the Huset Hardcore festival in Copenhagen on the LP's release day, and in addition they have just been confirmed for the newly formed hardcore and punk festival IlterFestival in May in Odense. More shows will be announced soon. Fresh from the success of her smash 'Decline' and a BRIT Award nomination for 'Best Single' with Jax Jones, RAYE today releases brand new tune 'Cigarette' featuring Mabel and Stefflon Don. Undoubtedly three of the UK's biggest up and coming UK female artists, RAYE, Mabel and Stefflon Don smash into 2018 with the year’s most exciting collaboration to date. 'Cigarette' arrives straight off the back of three UK Top 15 singles (‘Decline’ by RAYE, ‘Finders Keepers’ by Mabel and ‘Hurtin’ Me’ by Stefflon Don). Curated by RAYE, the track sets the tone for the year ahead. 'Cigarette' is taken from an upcoming wider project set to drop in the coming months. RAYE has curated a culturally relevant collection of music featuring a number of collaborations with her artist friends. This body of work is set to solidify RAYE's status amongst her fellow pioneers of UK music. ‘Cigarette’ follows RAYE’s UK Silver certified single ‘Decline’ which is still on the Capital playlist and remained on the Radio 1 A List for a massive 8 weeks. RAYE is one of the UK's hottest new stars, spending most of 2017 performing at major festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and V Festival. She has already racked up nearly 75 million streams of her music, and has established herself as one of the UK's 'go to' hit songwriters, working with the likes of John Legend, Charli XCX, Nas, Little Mix, Snakehips, Julia Michaels, Blood Pop, Ellie Goulding, Diplo and Naughty Boy. Little Dragon have unveiled a brand new song ahead of their forthcoming North American spring tour. Entitled 'Sway Daisy', the track is a slow burning synth pop fever dream. It was given its first play by Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music today. You can listen to 'Sway Daisy' HERE.
'Sway Daisy' follows last year's acclaimed album Season High, out now on Because Music, which NME described as 'effortless sexiness from the Swedish electro crew' after naming it Album of the Week and saw Mixmag asking 'is there a better electronic pop quartet out there right now than Little Dragon?' upon release. Little Dragon have announced details of a handful of UK festival dates this summer, details of which can be found below; 26th May – BBC Music's The Biggest Weekend, Belfast - Tickets 22nd July – Bluedot Festival, Cheshire - Tickets You can buy 'Season High' here; Website iTunes Amazon You can find Little Dragon online here: Website Tampa Bay post-hardcore quintet Limbs is thrilled to share a brand new video for their song "EYES," premiering now exclusively on Metal Insider. The track comes from the band's new EP, Sleep, which was released on October 26th via Equal Vision Records. 'Sleep' was produced by Tim McTague (Underoath) and marks the band's debut EP with the label. For more information, or to purchase Sleep online, please visit: limbs.lnk.to/sleep. On the new video, Limbs vocalist Chris Costanza shares: "This is an older song that we re-tracked drums for with Matt Goldman at Glow in the Dark studios. This video is a re-color of the original music video featuring the newly mixed version of the song. Hope you guys dig it!" This Friday, February 2nd, LIMBS will kick off a two week tour in support of Sleep with Great American Ghost. The run features stops in Rochester, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, and more. Limbs is Chris Costanza (vocals), Daniel Nelson (drums), Joshua Kowalski (bass), Jordan Hunter (guitar), and Tyler Martin (guitar). The band debuted with their EP, Admission, in late 2014, to copious amounts of positive feedback. In 2015, Limbs toured the DIY circuits relentlessly, and released two independent singles. Limbs ventured out on an east coast tour with Saosin in 2016, and also performed at the South By So What?! Music Festival in Dallas, Texas. That year they also recorded 3 songs (now re-recorded on the upcoming EP, 'Sleep'), which were mixed by Beau Burchell (Saosin) and mastered by Mike Kalajian. In 2017 the band set out to support Envy on the Coast on select dates in the south-east. Following that, the band trekked across the country supporting Hail The Sun on their nationwide headliner. Rachael Holland, the vocalist for the newcomers, sets the scene: “It's about walking through the storm. Life gets rough, but you have to keep going. You can't just sit there in your rut and give up, you have to persevere through setbacks to grow.” Now available for streaming here, is the quintet’s bright and infectiously catchy debut single ‘Won’t Settle’, with Holland revealing: “I wrote this track when I was dating someone who didn't really feel as if they were making any effort at all. I'd just gotten over a really bad break up, and they were the first person I'd really liked for a while, but they were completely emotionally unavailable. I just said to myself “I cannot settle for someone who just isn't 100% there”. We want people who listen to this song to feel empowered, you have to walk away from anything that isn't serving your happiness.” Completed by Tom Colmans and Dan Smith on Guitar, Tim Clements on Bass and Ben Brennan on Drums, Crossing The Limits came together thanks to ‘the internet’, with Holland recalling: “I'd just gotten out of another band I'd been in for a few years, but it had reached a point where we weren't all on the same page any more. I felt pretty disheartened but I knew that I wasn't done. I began searching online for members to start a new band with, who were all committed and driven. Our ambition is for our music to uplift people and inspire them to be who they are.” With the line-up complete, the members set about writing material, drawing upon lessons they had learned over the past year. Not all of the songs made the cut, but after 4 months the band had the material that would become the record, seeing them dealing with topics such as “the heartbreak of a first love; loss of friendship; not being afraid to carry on going alone and resisting the urge to fall in line by favouring your own path in life.” Recorded at Steel City Studios with Drew Lawson and mastered by Grant Berry at Fader, Holland fondly recalls: “Staying in a budget hotel, living off of fast food and being around each other all the time brought us all closer together, and we really got to know each other and how to agree to disagree sometimes. These guys are my best friends, and the support we give each other is amazing, they're my brothers.” Naming Neck Deep, Tonight Alive, State Champs and Against The Current amongst their influences, on ‘Perseverance’ Crossing The Limits offer up a delightfully energetic and uplifting dose of posi-pop-punk. Holland concludes: “There aren't enough female fronted bands out there right now, we can bring it just as much as any male fronted band. We're coming full force.” Stream Debut Single ‘Won’t Settle’ now: https://youtu.be/y2OuyPM9mEA Facebook | Twitter | Instagram |
