Alyusha (pronounced ‘Ali-usher’) is the progressive vocalist, writer and producer who today shares the first song “Cracks” from her upcoming “Little God” EP.
Born to Japanese & Romanian / Irish parents, Alyusha has a rich musical heritage, which as a producer she combines with her influence of industrial, city sonic landscapes. This combination of influences creates a futuristic and sometimes jarring sound, juxtaposing light and dark with provoking songwriting.
Since her second single "Paradise" with Linden Jay charted at Number 2 on Spotify’s ‘Global Viral Charts’, she’s toured Europe alongside working on new material in the studio, collaborating with other artists and spent some time in Tokyo where she immersed herself and collected sounds from the city. One of the artists that the progressive, classically trained musician collaborated with is Warp’s “ghetto futuristic artist” Gaika where she features on and co-produced “The Deal”.
“Cracks” has a smooth yet experimental interplay between formation and demolition delivered by her soothing vocals, effortlessly malleable in character with a sound that while soul-infused orbits around the fascinatingly cold decaying tones of jarred Hip Hop and a unique R&B hybrid.
Alyusha doubles down the attack with lyrics that tackle emotion and personal subjects with a lawless attitude. Discussing Japanese philosophical ideologies such as ‘wabi sabi (embracing the imperfect) and ‘kintsugi’ (the ancient art form of mending cracks with gold paint in pottery). This symbolises the belief that only something that has been broken has the potential to transform in to becoming something more beautiful.
While lyrically her vocals are lucid and inviting; the grimy production on her first cut of 2018 transfers its tough and unforgiving strength to the listener.

London-based singer/songwriter, performer and curator Belgrave releases visual for the title track from his new four-track EP 'Riviera', released on The Shooting Gallery Recordings this May 25th.
A former tailor on London's Saville Row, Belgrave's distinctly dark melancholic pop perfectly pairs powerful, emotive songwriting with grandiose choruses inspired by the artist's childhood heroes such as Freddie Mercury, George Michael and Elton John. Nowhere is this more evident than the EP's first single 'Riviera', whose ethereal, dreamlike tone serves as an important introduction to a unique talent impossible to define.
On the track, Belgrave explains ""I have always been fascinated by music that I cannot comprehend or understand. Once I heard the vocal sample while writing 'Riviera', I was entranced by it and the rest of the song fell into place around it quite naturally"
The 'Riviera' EP will be released via The Shooting Gallery Recordings on May 25th.

The mighty Like Thieves have returned to the Australian music scene strongly in recent weeks with the release of their latest single "Never See it Coming" and the announcement of their national run of live shows. Now, they are doubling down on what has been a huge response to the song and tour, with the release of a film-clip for the prog / rock track, and the announcement of all support acts for the tour.
The video-clip was shot in Brisbane's CBD in March - and it is a frantic, intense, black-and-white clip and matches the attack & pace of the song. Clint Gough, bassist for the band and director of the stark and striking film-clip, says that "This video is a about mental illness. For some people, getting out of bed or walking down the street can seem like an impossible task. And unfortunately, many people choose to pay the ultimate price to escape from their own thoughts. We want to confront people about this issue and the devastating effects it can have. Because the sad fact is, you can never see it coming."

Following last year’s ‘Pearl’ EP, French born singer Nuuxs today announces the release of her brand single ‘No Good For Me, a supernaturally catchy, low-slung R&B offering.
Nuuxs sets forward a track that is universally empathetic to not just self-care but almost to never reciprocate someone's negativity. “This song is about allowing yourself to cut certain toxic people out of your life. We’re often made to feel guilty and hurt from other people’s insecurities and you can end up absorbing that negativity. It’s about being empowered and standing up for yourself.”
Listen to ‘No Good To Me’ here
An effortless storyteller with a pure and unfiltered singing talent and songwriting ability, ‘No Good For Me’ is a vivid snapshot of Nuuxs' journey from ridding her life of ruling characters and finding a new empowerment in life.
Quietly charismatic, Nuuxs is ballsy in attitude and approach. Nuuxs’ musical influences are undoubtedly shaped by her ever-changing surroundings, as much as she is. Her journey began writing hooks for grime artists that she went to school with. She later joined a number of bands where she experienced jazz, funk and indie music, throwing everything into the melting pot of her burgeoning career.
Ever determined, Nuuxs reached out to music producers, before being noticed by Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, The Libertines and James Bay) at a writing camp through their publisher, Bucks. Despite not instantly creating a creative partnership Jake “kept an eye” on her work and as she evolved Jake signed her to his Goldun Egg label.
Black Satellite is celebrating this Friday the 13th with the premiere of the aggressive and hard-hitting music video for "I Don't Wanna Be Me." Premiering exclusively with Loudwire today, this song was recorded as a tribute to Type O Negative and lead singer Peter Steele leading up to the anniversary of his death tomorrow. On the track, singer Larissa Vale shares "We were inspired by the song conceptually, and wanted to take creative liberty in really making it our own. People may say prematurely that 'it doesn't sound like the original,' but it really sounds like us as a band, and that, we are truly proud of. The emotional context of the song remains intact and we hope that fans will enjoy this version as much as we did making it."
The video features drumming sensation Casey Cooper, and is the second part of this project, alongside the previously released video for "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" On the project, Black Satellite shared "We wanted to release these songs as a tribute to the legacy that Pete left behind. These are big shoes to fill, literally, and we saw it not only as a challenge, but a way for us to experiment and grow artistically. There is definitely something to be said in his music, and covering the songs was our way to recognize that and tip our hats to him." Both tracks will be available across all DSPs tomorrow, April 14th.
Called a "rock band beyond definition" by idobi Radio, Black Satellite have been crafting mind-blowing alt-rock for over six years. Comprised of Larissa Vale (vocals) and Kyle Hawken (guitar), the duo came together in their hometown of State College, Pennsylvania and quickly formed a loyal bond that created the foundation for Black Satellite.
Black Satellite was named one of Alternative Press' "12 Bands You Need to Know" sharing that "Frontwoman Larissa Vale offers an aggressively elegant vocal range that pairs perfectly over Kyle Hawken's melodic guitar riffs and instrumental work. Each song from Endless effortlessly shows off the duo's provocative sound and captivating alt-rock essence." Additional support from the band from outlets like Billboard, Loudwire, New Noise Magazine, Alternative Press and more have continued to validate and solidify Black Satellite's place in the rock world.
Mastered by Ted Jensen (Muse, Marilyn Manson, Deftones), the band's debut album Endless paints an almost cinematic landscape, with each track revealing a new facet of the duo's style and complexity. Pairing influences ranging from Alice in Chains to Gojira with personal, emotional experiences and stories, Black Satellite have crafted a unified body of work that showcases their undeniable range. Vale remarked that with Endless, "We not only confronted our fears head-on, but were completely immersed in them."
Hawthorne Heights have premiered new track 'Starlighter (Echo, Utah)' on Rock Sound. The track is taken from upcoming new album Bad Frequencies, the band's first full-length album since 2013 and first release on Pure Noise Records.
Bad Frequencies will be released on the 27th April. You can pre-order the album ahead of its release here
You can listen to 'Starlighter (Echo, Utah)' here
The album was produced by Hawthorne Heights along with Nick Ingram (Hotel Books, Capital House Studio), and mixed by Cameron Webb (Grammy Winner, NOFX, Social Distortion). The band previously worked with Ingram on the Hurt EP as well as Webb for “Push Me Away” which was released last summer ahead of their full run on the Vans Warped Tour.
Hawthorne Heights is composed of JT Woodruff (Vocals, Guitar), Mark McMillon (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Matt Ridenour (Bass, Backing Vocals), Chris Popadak (Drums). The band has remained dedicated to their fans and has maintained a hard-working DIY mentality over the course of their 14-year career while delivering monumental albums like The Silence in Black And White and If Only You Were Lonely.
On signing with Pure Noise Records, the band shares, “We had been doing it ourselves for a few years, and while we love having all that freedom, we really thought that this was a great album to dive back into the label atmosphere. We've followed Pure Noise for years, and have always been impressed with how they release records, and the bands they choose to sign. We really believe that Bad Frequencies is one of the best things that we've created as Hawthorne Heights, so we wanted to give it every possible chance at success. After a few conversations with Jake, we knew everything would come together quickly, and that it would be a fun project for both the band and label.”
