"The Shape", the new album of Italian rock-core act Deaf Autumn is out today via This Is Core! The band has already revealed the first single "A Thousand Broken Hearts", with an enthusiastic reaction of media and fan-base:
"With our debut album "What Was To Be Known" we were just following our instinct showing some attitude and the will to do things for ourselves only, but now with "The Shape", we went truly beyond, digging deeper into us and minding on what we were finding. Through new single "A Thousand Broken Hearts" you will taste just a few things about it, but it's worth a ticket to ride our new journey.
We also had to make some tough line-up changes that led us to constantly search for balance, which set us in front of further choices to make. From that point on, we built up a new will, a new desire, to make things in that way, as a new philosophy. Lyrics got more meanings; some are hidden, some more are well shown, even like a sociological end. We truly believe that there is much spirit in this kind of communication, but at the same time this is a mere tool that everyone can handle as they need it".

Helsinki hardcore-punk squad Kohti Tuhoa stream the entirety of their highly anticipated second album, Pelon Neljäs Valtakunta, at heavily trafficked taste-makers Noisey - Music By Vice. The album was released in Europe last Friday via Svart Records, and is seeing North American release on November 24th via Southern Lord Recordings. Hear Kohti Tuhoa's Pelon Neljäs Valtakunta in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Kohti Tuhoa's 2015-issued debut LP, Rutiinin Orja, was considered by many as the most exciting hardcore punk record out of Scandinavia in ages. Their sophomore album, Pelon Neljäs Valtakunta is constructed from similar building blocks of aggression aimed at sociopolitical injustice, but with the band's sound taking a step further towards genre classicists such as Discharge and Disorder, not to mention classic Finnish hardcore-punk acts such as Terveet Kädet, Varaus, and Riistetyt.
Recorded in May 2017 at V.R. Studio in Turku, Finland, Pelon Neljäs Valtakunta was engineered by Jussi Vuola, mixed by Jussi Vuola and Kohti Tuhoa, mastered and cut by Jukka Sarapää at Timmion Cutting, and finalized with artwork by returning artist Jaakko Karjula. The album crushes 12 relentless tracks in 20 minutes, including a cover of "Saatanan Lampaat" by Painajainen.
In the meantime, hear the whole album in its entirety exclusively HERE, courtesy of Noisey - Music By Vice. Order info can be found HERE.

Along with this announcement, the band has released their first song, "Bang Bang" premiering exclusively on Alternative Press, here. AltPress.com calls the track a "sure-fire crowd-pleaser"and continued on by saying "it's the perfect way of reminding fans why they fell in love with the band in the first place."
Wolves is full of depth as the band continues down a supercharged anthemic road of alternative rock/hard rock songs while remaining consistent to their classic Story of the Year soaring sound. "This album is us breaking through any rules or creative parameters we may have set for ourselves in the past. These are the most organic, honest, naturally flowing songs we've had in years, maybe ever." Lead Singer Dan Marsala continues on saying "It tells a story of growing up, feeling lost, realizing you're not the person you thought that you would be, fighting for you life, falling in love, learning the importance of family, and all at the same time, being scared to death of how all of that fits together in life. It's an up and down roller coaster of hope and fear."
Yesterday, the band released their first behind-the-scenes look to the album in a webisode, which fans can check out HERE. This is the first of many that will countdown to the album release on December 8th and in classic SOTY form, they are going to be fun.
