American hardcore punk band, Rotting Out, have officially released their third full-length album, Ronin, via Pure Noise Records. The 10-track album is available across streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, etc., as well as for physical purchase here. Additionally, the band has shared a music video for "Last Man Standing" off of the album, which is available to watch here.
Ronin is the home of singles "Reaper," "Unforgiven," and "Stones," which have been heralded by Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, The Noise, and more.
On the album, lead vocalist Walter Delgado shares:-
"It's been 7 years since our last LP. A lot has happened since: hard lessons, periods of isolation, weight of guilt, diagnosis, crippling realization, absolute hopelessness and also absolute peace and calmness. The purpose for the image of the record is that there was a lot that was left unspoken and I danced around the darker moments and some were just buried completely. I decided to reopen things that haven't been open in almost 25 years and look it straight in the face. That old dusty mirror that shows me more than I'd like to see or remember. I've never been more proud of writing this record and nothing was left behind on my end. Some of these took more out of me than I'd like to admit. Nonetheless, I knew it was time to put it all out there."
Raised on the sounds of local LA heroes Suicidal Tendencies and Pennywise, yet fully indebted to the thriving Southern California hardcore scene, Rotting Out have continually created some of the most energetic and captivating punk/hardcore being played today. Their music expresses a certain LA grit that is so rarely captured by many hardcore bands.
After disbanding from their original band, Dogpile, the band formed in 2007. Since then, they have released two full-length records and two EPs. With vocalist Walter Delgado's arrest in Ohio and 18-month sentence for transporting an estimated 700 pounds of marijuana, the band was forced to take a break. After a three-year hiatus, the band re-emerged into the scene at the iconic Sound and Fury Festival and This is Hardcore Fest in 2018. Now, in 2020, the band is back and ready to reclaim their place in the industry.
Ronin is out now via Pure Noise Records.

"The Shape", the new album of Italian rock-core act Deaf Autumn is out today via This Is Core! The band has already revealed the first single "A Thousand Broken Hearts", with an enthusiastic reaction of media and fan-base:
"With our debut album "What Was To Be Known" we were just following our instinct showing some attitude and the will to do things for ourselves only, but now with "The Shape", we went truly beyond, digging deeper into us and minding on what we were finding. Through new single "A Thousand Broken Hearts" you will taste just a few things about it, but it's worth a ticket to ride our new journey.
We also had to make some tough line-up changes that led us to constantly search for balance, which set us in front of further choices to make. From that point on, we built up a new will, a new desire, to make things in that way, as a new philosophy. Lyrics got more meanings; some are hidden, some more are well shown, even like a sociological end. We truly believe that there is much spirit in this kind of communication, but at the same time this is a mere tool that everyone can handle as they need it".

Kohti Tuhoa's 2015-issued debut LP, Rutiinin Orja, was considered by many as the most exciting hardcore punk record out of Scandinavia in ages. Their sophomore album, Pelon Neljäs Valtakunta is constructed from similar building blocks of aggression aimed at sociopolitical injustice, but with the band's sound taking a step further towards genre classicists such as Discharge and Disorder, not to mention classic Finnish hardcore-punk acts such as Terveet Kädet, Varaus, and Riistetyt.
Recorded in May 2017 at V.R. Studio in Turku, Finland, Pelon Neljäs Valtakunta was engineered by Jussi Vuola, mixed by Jussi Vuola and Kohti Tuhoa, mastered and cut by Jukka Sarapää at Timmion Cutting, and finalized with artwork by returning artist Jaakko Karjula. The album crushes 12 relentless tracks in 20 minutes, including a cover of "Saatanan Lampaat" by Painajainen.

Wolves is full of depth as the band continues down a supercharged anthemic road of alternative rock/hard rock songs while remaining consistent to their classic Story of the Year soaring sound. "This album is us breaking through any rules or creative parameters we may have set for ourselves in the past. These are the most organic, honest, naturally flowing songs we've had in years, maybe ever." Lead Singer Dan Marsala continues on saying "It tells a story of growing up, feeling lost, realizing you're not the person you thought that you would be, fighting for you life, falling in love, learning the importance of family, and all at the same time, being scared to death of how all of that fits together in life. It's an up and down roller coaster of hope and fear."
Yesterday, the band released their first behind-the-scenes look to the album in a webisode, which fans can check out HERE. This is the first of many that will countdown to the album release on December 8th and in classic SOTY form, they are going to be fun.
