Antti Tuisku, Sanni, Mikael Gabriel, Abreu, Sara Siipola, Jambo ja Rosa Coste. Tämänvuotinen festivaali oli menestys koronapandemian asettamista haasteista huolimatta ja ensi vuodesta tulee vieläkin isompi: ”Tehtiin hommia ensimmäisen Headlandin eteen pari vuotta, ja kun viime kesänä näki tuhannet ihmiset viihtymässä Lahden tunnelmallisessa Niemen rannassa, tuli heti fiilis että hyvin alkanutta matkaa täytyy jatkaa. Ensi vuonna mennään entistäkin isommin! Tervetuloa nauttimaan!” Aste kertoo. Asteen keikkamyynnistä vastaa jatkossa Live Nation Finlandin Elsa de Campos. Asteen kappaleita on kuunneltu suoratoistopalveluista yli 85 miljoonaa kertaa. Asteen tunnetuimpia hittejä ovat ”Monaco”, ”Spaceman”, ”Himalaja”, ”Ötökkä myrskyssä feat. Raappana”, ”Peruskallio”, ”Luonasi”, ”Poikkeus sääntöön” ja ”Normipäivä”.

International superstar and K-pop phenomenon, CL has released a new music video for new track “Let It,” off her recently released debut album “ALPHA.” CL continues to ride the momentous wave initiated by the first release of ALPHA’s lead single “SPICY” last month, and her follow-up “Lover Like Me;” culminating in last week’s explosive release of “ALPHA.” Layering punchy verses and a powerful chorus atop a piano-driven melody, “Let It” reveals an unexpected dimension to CL’s artistry and character— a revealing dichotomy to the always-in-control alpha CL. With a masterful blend of both English and Korean in its lyrics, the track is danceable yet delicate in its sound. “I don’t care what they say,” she sings confidently— unapologetic in her musical expression, a signature tenet of her artist persona. Multi-faceted global superstar, fashion icon and pride of South Korea, Lee Chae-rin (“CL”), exploded onto the k-pop scene at 17, frontwoman to the biggest k-pop girl group in the world, 2NE1. As writer and co-producer of the group’s 2014 hit album “Crush,” CL quickly distinguished herself as a promising versatile crossover artist, as the album went on to become the highest-charting and best-selling Korean album in US Billboard 200 history. Several sold out world tours later, CL (reverently called the “Queen of K-Pop”) embarked on a long-speculated solo career in 2016, marked by the release of her first smash single, “Lifted,” off her debut solo album: the single garnered over 33 million YouTube views and landed CL her US TV debut The Late Late Show with James Corden. After a three-year recording hiatus and show-stopping performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony, CL returned to the spotlight in 2019 with a gift for her eager fans: six new tracks under the title “In the Name of Love,” chronicling her more private years following the release of “Lifted.” The 2019 People’s Choice Award winner for “The Most Inspiring Asian Woman,” CL is also a two-time nominee for TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World,” and tied Hilary Clinton in votes in 2016. A genre-bending artist, she has collaborated with the American chart mainstays, the Black Eyed Peas and Lil Yachty, and performed with the likes of Skrillex and Diplo— electrifying their sets at Ultra Music Festival and Hard Summer. A creative mastermind and reinventor by nature, a new CL returned to the American music scene with a powerful performance back where it all began: The Late Late Show with James Corden, ahead of the releases of two brand new singles “HWA" and “5 STAR,” which have amassed over 36 million combined worldwide streams to date. This Fall, CL embarked on a brand new era with the release of wildly successful lead singles “SPICY” and “Lover Like Me” in anticipation of her full-length project. Now fresh out of the studio with a new vision ahead, CL’s long-awaited solo debut, ALPHA, is available everywhere you get your music. The album debuted at #3 on the U.S. iTunes charts and #1 on both the Pop and K-Pop charts—in addition to nabbing the #1 spot on iTunes overall Album Charts in 9 different countries. Proudly wearing the trailblazer label, she continues to pave the way for Asian women in music, utilizing her platform (12M combined) to empower them to push past cultural and industry barriers. CL can also be seen in Season 2 of the popular FX series, DAVE, which premiered this June 2021. For more on CL: Instagram | Twitter | Facebook Danish rising sci-fi pop artist Greta (a.k.a Greta Schenk) shares new single 'Out Of Mind', taken from her forthcoming sophomore album Forever We'll Be Dancing, arriving February 4th on W.A.S Entertainment (Brimheim, Rebecca Lou). Listen to 'Out of Mind' here: https://youtu.be/l7ujTkie75M Says GRETA: "'Out of Mind’ was actually the first song I wrote on the album. It captures the feeling of losing your mind in a kind of absurd situation, where you feel trapped (to me this was lockdown). The feeling of losing track of time and just being forced to wait on life to happen. I wrote the song during this really absurd state of mind, which made it almost comic and that’s definitely showing in the appearance of the song. ‘Out of Mind’ is reflecting feelings of both longing and hoping for something else." The album is centred around transitions and "great love", as reflected in 'Out of Mind'. Greta continues: "At the time I wrote the album, I felt very artistically liberated, because the music has always been my escape and a light in the dark. During both the Corona lockdown and my husband’s illness, I felt a great love and connection, but also a longing for breaking away, being free, living life and wanting everything to go back to normal." 'Out of Mind' is the follow-up track to other album singles 'Forever We'll Be Dancing’ and ‘Vibrant’, which garnered support from BBC Radio 6 and Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1. Last year she released her debut album, Ardent Spring, which put Greta on the map as one of Denmark’s most exciting new alternative artists, receiving stellar reviews from Danish media sites Politiken, Gaffa and Soundvenue and landing Schenk a nomination for the Danish critics' award Steppeulven. Greta moves through a magical universe where transcendence and futurism merge with nostalgia and the familiar. Her lyrics are laden with existential reflections on the core of life, which she explores through the contrast of light and dark. Her sound reflects her love for 80s synths and grooves while also embracing futuristic sounds, which she seamlessly threads together with bright and airy vocals. By encapsulating those dichotomies, her music has the ability to evoke multiple emotions at once - listening to these tracks awakens both a melancholic nostalgia and hopeful euphoria all at once. The album’s opening track, ‘Vibrant’ is glittered with a bouncy kitsch 80s bassline and was born out of the romantic symbiosis she and her husband shared during lockdown, a time that saw their bond strengthen as his depression intensified. ‘Will You Stay’ is a lullaby for her husband, and ‘Stranger’ was also written for him about self-acceptance, not being alone, and trusting your own path and process in life. 'Bliss II' is a nocturnal track about spending the night awake. Other songs capture the longing we all felt to go out during lockdown: 'Wonder' is about craving a sweaty club night where the mind can let go, while 'Out Of Mind' was written about the feeling of losing your mind while waiting for life to happen.
'Drei' is a homage to her childhood hero and German pop star Blümchen and her father, who wrote the chords and melody, and 'Genug' is a homage to her friend and labelmate Brimheim’s song ‘Kafka’ about feeling like nothing is ever enough while simultaneously feeling like everything is always too much. The title track, 'Forever We'll Be Dancing,' acts as a sort of mission statement to the album, which doubles as a declaration of love to Schenk’s husband. Inspired by an 80’s italo-disco band called Cyber People, the track is an invitation to lose yourself to dance entirely. Like the album as a whole, the song balances the sinister side of life with messages of hope, all deliciously wrapped in an intoxicating blend of synths, trance and soaring electronic soundscapes. Forever We’ll Be Dancing was recorded in Berlin with Norwegian artist and producer Farao and Ådne Meisfjord of the Norwegian rock band 120 Days. She draws on 90s dream trance artists like Robert Miles, 80s meditative new age artists like Clifford White, minimalist techno groups like Moderat, the lush synthpop soundscapes of I Break Horses, the dark wave sound of Boy Harsher as well as the more contemporary electro-pop sensibilities of Sassy 009 to create an exciting and fresh sound. James Blunt has released the hilarious video for his uplifting new song ‘Unstoppable’ - taken from his forthcoming greatest hits album, 'The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021)’ - out November 19th on Atlantic Records. 17 years into his prolific career, ‘Unstoppable’ sees James delivering a phenomenal single for the post-Covid era; driven by a chorus that will no doubt find its home in the arenas on his tour next year, it’s set to quickly assert itself as a fan favourite. “It’s coming, it’s coming!” screams a man as the video opens with James and his one man band. Like a scene from a 50’s B movie horror film, people run for their lives, terrified of his music, with James blissfully unaware of the chaos he’s causing. Indicative of his triumphant career, he soon wins the world over, and the video, directed by illustrious film writer Jamie Thraves, comes to a joyous, celebratory end. “Be afraid…I am UNSTOPPABLE!” says James, and who are we to argue! Watch HERE. James will embark on a nine date UK arena tour for 2022 which will see him celebrate songs spanning a 17-year career that has spawned over 23 million album sales, a global smash hit with ‘You’re Beautiful’, two Brit Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards, as well as receiving five Grammy Award nominations. Amongst the string of hit singles, 'The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021)’ will include four new songs (‘Love Under Pressure’, ‘Unstoppable’, ‘Adrenaline’ & ‘I Came For Love’), as well as four exclusive live performances from around the world, including the Glastonbury Festival. It also features stunning tracks from his latest Gold-selling album ‘Once Upon A Mind’, including ‘Cold’, and the heartbreaking ballad for his father, ‘Monster’. James’ classic 2004 debut album ‘Back To Bedlam’, was recently named as one of the top ten best selling albums of that decade, and with ‘Once Upon A Mind’, James Blunt reinforced his reputation for writing honest, emotional songs that people can easily relate to. The album marked a return to what James Blunt does best – writing classic songs that touch both the heart and the head. Another side of James - his wit and charm - have in recent times been showcased via his always engaging Twitter account. James Blunt plays the following 2022 UK arena dates: February 2022
https://www.jamesblunt.com/ Iconic rock band Papa Roach have shared their new rock single “Dying To Believe.” The song, produced by WZRD BLD aka Drew Fulk (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White, Bullet For My Valentine) is a call for human unity and harmony, despite any differences people have. On their new single singer Jacoby Shaddix shares:- “In the process of making this record, we always try to make music that means something to us, that moves us. When I look out into the world right now a lot of people are divided. The beautiful thing about music is it’s a unifier. I wanted to make a song that has some hope in it.” Shaddix’s signature vocals soar over anthemic choruses and heavy instrumentals in a dynamic call to arms. Fans can stream the new song at https://papa-roach.ffm.to/dyingtobelieve. Also, by posting a cryptic video featuring the three band’s names placed on a marquee, Papa Roach have teased a to-be-announced tour featuring Hollywood Undead and Bad Wolves. “Dying To Believe” joins recently released singles including the powerful and anthemic “Kill The Noise” and the genre-bending banger of a single “Swerve” featuring Jason Aalon Butler (Fever 333) and Sueco. The “sizzling new track” according to Wonderland Magazine was heralded as one of the “Best Releases of August” by Loudwire and was added to marquee playlists including “Rock This” and “New Music Friday” on Spotify as well as “Breaking Hard Rock” and “New Music Daily” on Apple Music. These new tracks are pulled from Papa Roach’s forthcoming new album, expected out in 2022 via their own label, “New Noize Records,” a second incarnation of their early 2000’s label enterprise in partnership with ADA Worldwide (WMG’s independent label and artist services arm). To celebrate the announcement, the band releases their new single “No Bad Days,” accompanied by the official video co-directed by Dan Smith, today—listen HERE and watch HERE. Give Me The Future is a tribute to humanity in a tech age and reflects on the strangeness of living through times that can feel like science fiction. Exploring both the opportunities of new technology and the dark side of lives lived online, it’s as playful and fun as it is thought-provoking, as dystopian as it is dancefloor-friendly, and as electronic as Bastille have ever been. Eerily, songwriter Dan Smith came up with the idea pre-pandemic. The album was already underway and the band on hiatus from touring when the world shut down, forcing interaction solely through screens, he says:- “Working on these songs in such an apocalyptic period, with everyone stuck at home, glued to screens, fed into the feeling that what is real and what is not has become pretty difficult to discern sometimes. We’re in the age of deep fake, fake news and lying world leaders. But online, you can be anyone. What that does to our sense of self and to our relationships is huge and it’s fascinating.” Give Me The Future takes us into a sci-fi wonderland free from restrictions – each song a different danceable dreamscape, a place where you can travel back and forward in time to be anyone, do anything and embrace a new wave of technology which enables us to get lost inside our imagination. The album is laced with references to the world of science fiction film and literature, video games and VR. It’s a record that takes the idea of the limitless possibilities of the future and journeys everywhere from a joyride of escapism on the uplifting, Thelma & Louise – a tribute to the iconic feminist film on its 20th anniversary, to ‘80s New York with the artist Keith Haring on the bright and whistling Club 57, to a hospital bed in Australia for the devastating but hopeful new single, No Bad Days; Co-directed for the first time by Smith, the music video for the track is set in a futuristic laboratory and sees Dan playing a character using technology to try and resurrect a lost loved one. Nodding to the classic science fiction of “Metropolis”, “Ex Machina” and “The Matrix”, the video paints an emotional and intimate story. Watch HERE. “It’s really satisfying to have finally directed, and I’m really proud of the little film we made. I grew up with film as my main obsession, so this was a bit of a dream. I learned a shitload and it was good to be challenged in a new way.” You’ll hear disco basslines, orchestras of synths, guitars, futuristic gospel, spaceship sounds, euphoric strings, vocoders, talk boxes, a choir of roadies and host of beats. The title track, Give Me The Future tips its hat to Phil Collins and The Police, Shut Off The Lights is a sonic love letter to Paul Simon’s Graceland and Stay Awake nods to Daft Punk and Quincy Jones. Having thrown himself into co-writing for other artists in recent years, for the first time ever on a Bastille album, the band inched open the door to collaborators. Although primarily produced by Dan Smith and long term production partner Mark Crew, the band also worked with a handful of writers and producers to expand the world. Distorted Light Beam was co-written and produced with Ryan Tedder (Adele, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift) who also helped as a sounding board and executive producer for the album. Thelma + Louise, Stay Awake and Back To The Future were co-written with legendary songwriter Rami Yacoub (Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time”, Lady Gaga’s Chromatica Album). They also worked with British writers Jonny Coffer, Plested and Dan Priddy to bring the album to life. You’ll also hear the voice of award-winning actor, musician, writer, creator, producer, director and activist Riz Ahmed on a spell-binding and evocative spoken word piece called Promises. Riz’s piece was a response the album and brings it’s overarching themes into sharp focus. Over the course of their previous three albums, Bastille have cemented a reputation for building whole worlds around their releases, often doing so with innovative award-winning creativity. Give Me The Future is no different, this time accompanied by a fictional, but familiar tech giant called Future Inc, the creators of an invention called Futurescape - a device which allows users to live out their dreams virtually. It’s weaved through every element of the campaign and can be seen in the videos for all three singles - Distorted Light Beam, Thelma & Louise and No Bad Days (add link) Sonically diverse and thematically adventurous, Bastille’s fourth album, Give Me The Future pushes the band into exciting new frontiers. The record serves as less of a judgement on modern life, more a reflection on where we are and perhaps where things could be, “I’m just observing the truly weird times we’re living in and having fun responding to it through these songs,” Dan says. “As the final track “Who Knows What the Future Holds… Don’t Matter If I Got You” says, this is happening, whether we like it or not. Finding happiness in the moment is surely the aim, whether it’s in the real or virtual world.” BASTILLE: INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | WEBSITE TaP Music the global music management and publishing company behind some of the world’s most successful pop artists, such as Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding announce today that they will be leading the search for the UK contender for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. Recipients of Music Week’s prestigious Managers of the Year Award for two years running (2020, 2021) – TaP will be consultants on the project, and today call on the music industry to share experienced live performers for their consideration. The song performed at Eurovision will be released commercially through a partnership with a major label.
“We’re really excited to be teaming up with the BBC for this event and will use Eurovision to authentically reflect and celebrate the rich, diverse and world-class musical talent the UK is globally renowned for. For many years, we’ve witnessed the United Kingdom not doing as well as we would’ve liked, when pop music is something we usually excel at. The simple fact is it’s time to show what we can do and the wonderful musical talent we have - ultimately we can’t blame politics. It’s time for the UK to mirror the positive spirit of our European counterparts and really deliver the best of what we have to offer - we should unite as a country and champion talent representing our country on the global stage. Look at our wonderfully diverse and hugely successful talent across sport and entertainment - Dua Lipa, a British Kosovan is the number 1 female artist in the world right now, Emma Raducanu - a Brit of Chinese and Romanian heritage breaking incredible records in tennis, not to mention the British nations football teams representing so well at the Euros - all high profile examples reflecting today's modern, diverse British culture.”
“The UK is not lacking in talent. Talent has never been the issue. In fact we are overflowing with talent. Rather than viewing Eurovision as just a bit of fun, let's look at it for what it is; the world’s biggest live music event - 200 million viewers at last count, with an audience skewing younger each year. Win or lose or somewhere in between - we’re going to go for it. We really want the entire nation to get behind the UK Eurovision act like never before. As a team, we’re incredibly focused on finding a really special act that creates excitement for the UK - both in the build-up to the final and beyond.” TaP Music’s plan for the Eurovision campaign is to pull together an ‘A-Team’ committee of the best people in the music industry, spanning the country’s best artists, songwriters, creatives and media.
“Covering Eurovision for the BBC is one of my favourite times of the year. Hearing TaP’s vision to discover and showcase to the world the rich and diverse depth of musical talent that truly represents the UK at its best has got me even more excited for the 2022 contest than any year since I started in Düsseldorf in 2011.”
“As of today - we’d like to appeal to the entire music industry to send to us acts for consideration - we can promise to put the best possible team around them on all fronts to give them not just a wonderful opportunity at Eurovision but hopefully for a long career ahead.”
“I’m a proud Brit whilst also being a proud Kosovan… I’m happy to lend my manager to the cause… I’ll be cheering them on!”
“British pop music has led the world for seven decades now. The legacy and continued impact it has, makes it one of our Nation's greatest success stories. In a changing world, we must find new ways for it to continue to thrive. There aren't many televised events that are as big and genuinely global as Eurovision, so it's a wonderful opportunity for us to remind the world yet again of the depth and diversity of our talent. I can't wait to see what gems our friends at Tap Music will unearth”
“The Brits make fantastic pop music. Not only that, we invented it! Isn’t it about time we started showing the rest of Europe what we can do and put our best foot forward when it comes to Eurovision? We have so much to offer and I for one, am excited to see a British act at Eurovision that is going to make me and the whole country proud. With TAP at the helm next year, I’m sure that’s what's going to happen!” TaP was founded in 2010 by music lawyer Ben Mawson and manager Ed Millett. It has since expanded to over 40 people across offices in London, LA, Berlin and Sydney and offers a truly global focus for its clients. TaP Music incorporates management, publishing, records and studios and services include dedicated in-house marketing, A&R, studios and digital / social media personnel.
