Rising Oslo quartet VEPS return with new single 'Mooney Tunes' & announce debut album 'Oslo Park'18/9/2022 Ever since arriving on the Norwegian indie scene aged just 17, Oslo-based four-piece Veps have been releasing a steady stream of jaw dropping mature indie pop gems. Now, as they all hit their final teenage years, the band today announce their debut album Oslo Park - out November 18th on Kanine Records - with newest single ‘Mooney Tunes’ streaming now. The track comes complete with a music video that was filmed in (you guessed it) an Oslo park, cut with archive footage from the past year on the road throughout Europe and Norway - watch here. Produced by fellow Norwegian Matias Tellez (Girl In Red, Sondre Lerche + +), ‘Mooney Tunes’ is Veps at their most dynamic. Continuing to dish out indie pop bangers with a carefree, DIY attitude, the new track is an upbeat track ray of sunshine. Listen HERE. The band say; “It’s about being far away from someone you love. About how great it is to be with them and how fast time passes by with them. Sometimes, in relationships, it feels like you’re on different planets, but you get to meet on the moon!” 2022 has so far seen highlights including the band’s first ever headline UK tour, which included a BBC6 Artist of the Week Spotlight, as well as playing a host of festivals both abroad and in their native Norway. The girls have known each other since junior school but began playing music together at age 14. A series of DIY shows followed, and at a very young age, Veps (the Norwegian word for wasp) was formed. The band self-released two singles in 2019, and by 2020, they hooked up with Brooklyn indie label Kanine Records, releasing their debut EP, Open the Door in 2021. And with song writing skills beyond their years, Veps seamlessly blend a 90s indie aesthetic with classic pop hooks, into their own, fully formed sound. It’s not hard to see why Veps has become a buzz band both within and outside the borders of their native Norway. VEPS are

"Waiting For No One" was produced by Decembers Fall with guidance and engineering by Shane Stanton, whose engineering credits include the Grammy nominated album Kill The Flaw, by Sevendust. The band has found its voice. Watch 'Waiting For No One" here: https://youtu.be/uESS-B84SJg “We’re all big fans of Sevendust, so when the chance to work with Shane came up, we thought it was fate. There comes a time when you have to take control of your own destiny. I think that’s what we did here. “– Decembers Fall Hailing from Hell's Kitchen, New York City, Decembers Fall is a hard-hitting rock band that has quickly gained a dedicated fan base through social media, local radio stations, independent magazines, and live shows consisting mostly of raw fury and emotion. Working with Dennis Sanders (Papa Roach, Static-X) the band has made its way to larger stages in the U.S. During their early years, Decembers Fall spent the majority of their time writing volumes of material, not willing to sell an audience short when it comes to music. This attitude has led them to share the stage with acts including Bobaflex, Mushroomhead, and Red. With the release of their single and the premiere of their video, the band is now focused on the release of their still untitled EP. No release date announced as of yet, although the band has let it be known that next single is already completed and awaiting a release date. Goo Goo Dolls will be releasing their thirteenth studio LP Chaos in Bloom on August 12th, 2022 via Warner Records. Marking the first album of their career to be produced by frontman John Rzeznik, the record finds the band at the top of their game and continuing to constantly evolve after nearly four decades together. Consisting of 10 tracks, Chaos in Bloom is an album of biting sarcasm, stadium-ready choruses, and the type of spear-sharp song-writing that’s led them to becoming one of the most influential alternative rock groups of all time. The record is available for pre-order HERE.. While Chaos in Bloom isn’t necessarily an album borne out by the pandemic, many of the tracks reflect on all of the things in daily life that became amplified while everyone was isolated from one another and sequestered at home. “Chaos in Bloom reminded us how special this whole thing is and to cherish the relationships that we have together,” says Rzeznik about the album. “Where we’ve been, and where we’re going.” Oscillating from personal reflections on the state of the world to societal commentaries, the songs on the album grapple with observations about our dystopian modernity while searching for optimism and pushing for a more empathetic world. “I’ve been trying to have a relationship with the bigger picture,” adds bassist and songwriter Robby Takac, “and refining happiness and what it means from that perspective.” To record the album, Rzeznik and Takac retreated to Dreamland Studios just outside Woodstock, New York during the pandemic. An environment as remote as it is rich with historic rock music roots, the location proved to be the perfect setting for clearing the noise and creating such a record, which carries a true live quality that the band captured by blending vintage instruments and gear with new-age recording processes and techniques. The band has also shared the intro track from Chaos In Bloom. “Yeah, I Like You.” ignites the record with a rousing acoustic guitar line that hits like a gut punch, with lyrics that effortlessly critique our celebrity culture, and the people who work so hard to look so disaffected while masking insecurities with false self-assuredness. “In a world that is just drowning in social media and internet stars, many of whom are certainly talented, but many confirm that in 2022 you can be famous for doing nothing,” says Rzeznik. “Celebrity in this age has a very quick burn. It was hard not to be consumed by it during the pandemic.” Listen to “Yeah, I Like You” and watch the official music video HERE For the first time since 2019, the band will embark on a sprawling US tour this summer. Set to kick off on July 15, 2022 and performing songs from Chaos in Bloom for the first time ever, it takes in iconic outdoor venues spanning North America, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, NY. Information & tickets can be found via the band’s website HERE. Goo Goo Dolls will be partnering with the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation for the tour, a non-profit founded in 2002 by Ali and Joe Torre to provide healing and education services to youth who have been traumatized by exposure to violence including domestic violence, child abuse, teen dating abuse, and sexual assault to help break the cycle of violence. Official Site | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | YouTube Alternative rock outfit Bring the Hoax has joined Lövely Records for the release of their debut, self titled EP. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, the four piece blends sweet melodies with fuzzed out guitars into colorful, energetic, and dynamic rock music. The first release from the group is the single ”Los Angeles”, which is out now on all streaming platforms together with a music video. Hasse Karlsson from the band comments: "Los Angeles came to life during the spring. We all longed for the everlasting Swedish winter to end and for the summer vibe to arrive. We always dreamed of the perfect roadtrip since the ones in a cold, dark Scandinavia leaves one hoping for more. This is our soundtrack for that roadtrip to come. The lyrics centers around a wish for a summer road trip to Mexico. On a long car ride like that good music is a most essential part of the feeling. Pavement is a perfect fit for this, and that is why Pavement is the first word sung in this song.“It kicks off with a rowdy intro and lands in a soothing verse which builds up towards a luscious and dreamy chorus that is perfectly suited for a summer drive in your car.” The four piece Bring the Hoax infuses indie rock songs with strong fuzzy guitars and delicately sweet melodies. The songs are held together by an unapologetic force that hardly leaves anyone untouched. It's clear that the band members take their influences from the finishing decades of the 20th century. You can hear hints of Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Built to Spill and Smashing Pumpkins to name some. Bring The Hoax is a rowdy, but yet polished and pleasant companion in the world of indie rock. Gritty dynamics are key in the songs of Bring the Hoax and the balance between the dirty and beautiful guitar tones versus the mountains of distortion and fuzz can be heard in pretty much every song they ever written. The lyrics are poetic and tell suggestive tales about politics, relationships and the everyday struggle that is life. “Ever since we were kids we have adored a sweet and catchy melody wrapped in a big fuzzy blanket of guitar distortion” - Hasse Karlsson Karl Nordahl and Hasse Karlsson both grew up in Viksjö, north of Stockholm, Sweden, and were probably destined to become friends since they both were equally unable to resist the mesmerizing pull of the massive soundscapes coming out from the punk-, indie- and grunge-era of the 90s. When they many years later had their apartments just shy of a 100 meters apart, it was time to start making music together. The first light the band name Bring the Hoax saw was of the fluorescent kind in a dark hotel room without windows, in the basement of a cheap bed and breakfast in Rhodos, Greece, in 2010. They asked Mark Petterson (My God Damn Territory, Washing Machina) – who Hasse had played with in a couple of bands and projects earlier - to join them on bass. A bunch of drummers later Mark took the seat himself behind the drums when Sara Engström (Washing Machina, Dag och Natt, Tam Tapir) was able to join on bass. Bring the Hoax has recorded and produced 2 eps during the years prior to the 2022 signing with Lövely Records. Many great things are going to be revealed in the present future. Ahead of their massive shows with Liam Gallagher at Knebworth last weekend, Kasabian have dropped ’Chemicals’, the third track from their highly-anticipated new album "The Alchemist’s Euphoria", out August 5th on Columbia Records. A pulsating, guitar driven anthem and the last track the band recorded for the album, 'Chemicals' is an encompassing pop moment written by Serge Pizzorno and produced by Serge and Fraser T Smith, with mixing from Spike Stent. “It is me telling myself that it is going to be okay” Serge said of the track. “It was me seeing myself in those few weeks when everything kicked off. It's the future me saying to that person: 'This is shit, but don't worry, it will get better.’ So having a song about talking to yourself is universal, I think. We all have to find a way to deal with the complications, the mess and the mortality of life.” Listen to ‘CHEMICALS’ HERE. Of the new album Serge adds: “One thing about this record I feel over the other ones, is it definitely feels like a body of work that belongs together. It was a beautiful moment in mastering hearing it as a piece. I think it really holds up in our seven albums….The Magnificent Seven”. Known for their blistering live shows, Kasabian have announced a run of UK shows this Winter, including a date at London’s Alexandra Palace on 29th October. The band were also special guests to Liam Gallagher at Knebworth June 3rd and 4th and will headline the Isle of Wight June 18th. www.kasabian.co.uk Mt. Joy have released their new single "Bathroom Light", check it out below along with Matt's comments about the new track. The band's new album "Orange Blood" is out 17th June. "We all have a perfect expectation of how life should be. My girlfriend and I met on Instagram, and whenever I would explain that to people it made me feel like we did it wrong. Like it didn’t fit ‘the narrative.’ As we were recording, there was an untimely death of a family member in our crew. It was horribly sad and gave me that sinking reminder of how fragile everything we build is. ‘Bathroom Light’ is about chasing love however it comes into your life and working to make those around you feel comfortable in their skin. We all have crazy stories, and for the most part there is just no time to be ashamed of them." – Matt Quinn

Fresh from making their critically acclaimed live debuts at Australian festivals UNIFY Gathering and Groovin' The Moo and polishing off their biggest ever national headlining tour, Eora / Sydney alt-rock force RedHook have returned with their most gut-wrenching single to date, ‘Jabberwocky’, produced by Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly) and mixed by James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore). Listen to Jabberwocky HERE / Click to stream 'Jabberwocky' / Click to pre-save ‘Jabberwocky’ is an intensely personal song that addresses vocalist Emmy Mack’s experience of being sexually assaulted while on RedHook’s first ever overseas tour. Using the metaphor of the Jabberwocky (a fictional monster from the Alice In Wonderland mythos which in the Irwin Allen film adaptation Alice is ultimately able to vanquish by convincing herself it doesn’t exist) the song centres on Emmy’s coping process of denying her own trauma and the monster who inflicted it in order to effectively “go on with the show”. Menacing guitars and frenetic synths charge beneath Mack’s powerful vocals, building into a psychotic dubstep-inspired breakdown before the vulnerable chorus lyrics take centre stage. Emmy explains the inspiration behind the track: “As difficult as this song was to write, I felt like it was something I had to do. One of the main ways I cope when horrible things happen in life is by listening to music. But when this happened to me, for the very first time, I couldn’t find a song that resonated with what I was going through. Isn’t it strange that we’ve heard so many stories about high-profile male predators in the heavy music space over the past few years, and yet there are so few songs in the genre that deal with sexual assault itself from a female perspective? I really wanted to help change that.” RedHook will support the release of ‘Jabberwocky’ with their second ever tour of Europe in June, including their debut appearance at one of the world’s most iconic rock festivals Rock AM Ring / Rock Im Park alongside the likes of Green Day, Muse, Weezer, Turnstile, Gang Of Youths & Spiritbox, as well as multiple dates supporting The Faim throughout the UK, followed by a 28-date, three-month-long regional tour of Australia as main support for In Hearts Wake, and an appearance at Sydney All Ages festival Shoreshocked alongside Beddy Rays and The Rions. This continues on from a freshly completed national ‘Bring Ya Mates’ tour with The Dead Love and appearances at UNIFY Gathering, Groovin’ The Moo and Halloween Hysteria. The band have previously sold-out national tours and performed at festivals Download (UK), Download (AUS), Good Things, BIGSOUND and Stonefest. 2021 saw RedHook release their long-awaited debut EP ‘Bad Decisions’ which has ticked over 7 million Spotify streams and earned praise from Kerrang! (UK), Rock Sound (UK), Rolling Stone (AUS), Hysteria Magazine and has been nominated for AIR's Independent Music Awards 2022, with multiple video clips being added to rotation on ABC’s Rage. Lead single ‘Bad Decisions’ has also clocked 5 million Spotify streams and has just been announced as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and featured on Spotify’s ‘The Best Of The Rock List 2021’ alongside huge songs by Machine Gun Kelly, YUNGBLUD & more. Previous singles have been added to rotation on triple j, along with further radio support from SiriusXM (USA), Kerrang! Radio (UK), triple j Unearthed, The Faction, 4ZZZ and Aussie Music Weekly. ‘Jabberwocky’ is available worldwide now Across various cultures and belief systems, the colour orange symbolizes sunshine, creativity, heat, freedom, fascination, and fire. Mt. Joy channels this bright, bold, and brilliant energy on their 2022 third full-length offering, Orange Blood, which is set to release on June 17th via Island Records. The title track, which was released today across platforms, hinges on gently strummed guitar as woozy vocals echo over sparse swells of sound before the central hummable harmony drifts in and out of focus. Watch the accompanying video here. Orange Blood explores a sonic spectrum of eloquent daydreams, blissful guitar-propelled psychedelic rock, and artful alternative alchemy siphoned from sessions in the Southern California desert under a watchful sun. When the global pandemic upended the bands tour with The Lumineers in 2020, Matt and Sam retreated into the desert. Holing up in a house with Matt’s girlfriend and brother, shroom-fuelled detours, late-night conversations about life, and a thirst for reprieve brought Orange Blood to life. “I was definitely drawn to the colour orange,” explains lead singer Matt Quinn. “When we were in the desert, everything revolved around the sun. I started playing with the idea that the light we see is this sort of orange blood that runs through all of us and gives life to everything it touches.” “Our last album was a breakup record,” notes Matt. “It had a darker feel. When we were in Joshua Tree, there were so many sad things in the world. We wanted to build something that found beauty in the fact the world has always been crazy. We were trying to find a way to be present enough to appreciate our surroundings even if they’re in decay.” Returning to Philadelphia, they put the finishing touches on the album in a house with the full line up and long-time producer and collaborator Caleb Nelson. Kicking off their forthcoming album, Mt. Joy released “Lemon Tree” which was hailed as “a next-level song” by NPR. The band also recently announced their US Headlining “Orange Blood” 2022 Tour (with special guests Grammy®-nominated West Coast singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham, L.A. based indie-folk trio Wilderado, and The Brook & The Bluff).
