Global superstar Sam Smith has released his new single “How Do You Sleep?” alongside accompanying video – out now via Capitol Records. Teaming up with world renowned songwriter/producer Max Martin as well as Savan Kotecha and ILYA, Sam Smith delivers another slice of pop perfection. “How Do You Sleep?” sees Sam’s signature vocals soar above the dreamlike production from ILYA (for MXM Productions) before the song explodes into the dance fuelled chorus. The stunning video which was also released today is directed by Grant Singer and choreographed by Parris Goebel. Speaking about the new single, Sam Smith explains “This year, both personally and musically, I feel so free. More than ever I have had so much fun making this record and this video. Time to dance darlings x” This latest release follows on from recent single “Dancing with a Stranger”, a joint release by Sam Smith and Normani which saw the pair amass over 6M copies with over 1BN streams, become the #1 airplay in the US & UK and achieve platinum status in 15 countries. Last summer also saw Smith release his global hit with Calvin Harris “Promises” which the pair performed at the BRIT Awards earlier this year. This week also saw Sam Smith reach 10 million YouTube subscribers – one of only 8 UK artists to achieve this accolade. During his career Sam has sold over 22 million albums worldwide and notched up seven UK No. 1 records to date including ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ – the first Bond theme to reach the position, gaining him a Guinness World Record. In addition, he has also received four Grammy Awards, three BRITs and an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song (Writing’s On The Wall). WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / TWITTER / INSTAGRAM

Indiana, the British singer, songwriter and social media provocateur, has announced and released a new EP titled ‘I Like Drinking’. The title track, an uplifting pop anthem dedicated to the art of boozing, is lifted from Indiana’s current album ‘Not Girlfriend Material’, which was released in August. The EP also includes a remix by fast-rising UK producer Adam Turner, an acoustic version of the song, and a brand new track ‘Wasted On You’ Indiana said:- “I was drinking heavily at the time of writing it and didn’t give a fuck what people thought. I genuinely like drinking. In fact, I love drinking and that’s OK as far as I’m concerned. There are millions out there that feel the same. It’s a song for them.” Indiana’s album ‘Not Girlfriend Material’, like it’s creator, is sultry, heartfelt, eclectic and sometimes controversial. The album was recorded at a time of significant change in Indiana’s life - the end of a relationship and a moment of self discovery. "Entering the dating scene was a wake-up call. It never satisfied me…. guys are attracted to me, and want to f*ck me…. but in terms of continuing a relationship, they have issues with who I am, and why they were attracted to me in the first place." And so came the life-changing revelation: “I’m not girlfriend material, but I’m OK with it.” The revelation became a life statement and since then, has become a mantra. Indiana has created a clothing line called ‘Sex Leisure’, which sells a range of t-shirts bearing the slogan ‘Not Girlfriend Material’. In what has now become a signature look for the artist, an oversized t-shirt coupled with sports socks and trainers, she says it is “a cute exterior but with a bit of filth.” Having previously released an acclaimed album via Sony, since leaving the label Indiana has become a social media provocateur in her own right - her instagram account @indianathegirl has thousands of followers who signed up for her sultry yet artistic selfies, tongue-in-cheek commentary and controversial moments. ‘I Like Drinking’ EP Track Listing: 1 - I Like Drinking 2 - I Like Drinking (Adam Turner Remix) 3 - Wasted On You 4 - I Like Drinking acoustic 'I Like Drinking' is available here: http://smarturl.it/ILikeDrinking https://www.facebook.com/indianathegirl/ https://www.instagram.com/indianathegirl https://www.twitter.com/indianathegirl https://www.instagram.com/sexleisure/ Robbie Williams has released a trailer video to give fans a glimpse of what to expect from his first ever Las Vegas residency next year. This year Goulding, who is an ambassador for the charity, will be joined by the likes of Dua Lipa, Bastille, Sigrid, Mabel, Grace Carter, Jax Jones, Dermot Kennedy and many more on stage at Wembley SSE Arena on 20th December. Pre-order tickets here: https://ellie.lnk.to/SOL Since 2014, Global UN Ambassador Ellie Goulding's annual Christmas gig for Streets of London has raised more than £300,000, which has helped the charity to fund dozens of projects that are helping homeless people turn their lives around. Speaking about the concert and her work with Streets of London, Ellie Goulding explains:- “Every year the event we’ve done for Streets of London has been absolutely magical and moving, I know this year will be the greatest yet.” Homelessness is a major problem in London today. On any given night in London, there are likely to be more than 1,000 people sleeping out on the streets (nearly treble the number there were in 2010) many more are in hostels or temporary accommodation and don't have a home to call their own. This can be incredibly damaging, and the average life expectancy of a homeless rough sleeper is just 47 years old. Streets of London are currently funding twelve projects providing specialist support to get people off the streets and make a fresh start. Projects include a winter night shelter for vulnerable rough sleepers, a rehab hostel for people recovering from addictions, also several employment support projects, which help homeless people to look for jobs and then find and keep work. People end up homeless for many different reasons and many need specialist help to get back on their feet and find a secure home. Those who have been homeless can require a lot of different types of support beyond help with securing housing, such as with mental health and addiction issues, understanding their rights, and with building their employability, skills and self-confidence. With the right support, people who are homeless can turn their lives around. There are lots of great charities throughout London that work hard to provide these services; many of them are small and not very well-known and funding can be hard to secure. The UK is one of the wealthiest countries in the world and London one of the wealthiest cities - no one should be spending night after night sleeping on the street. By working together we can make a real difference and help support those who are struggling to get off the streets for good. The involvement of Ellie, and the many stars who have generously supported Streets of London by giving their time and talents, also helps raise awareness about homelessness, particularly among young people, engaging them in the issue and the need to work for change. Having worked closely with GRAMMY and Ivor Novello award winning songwriter Eliot Kennedy (Spice Girls, Bryan Adams, Gary Barlow), Megan proves herself to be a surefire one to watch, possessing an infectious sound that shines through more so than ever in ‘Affirmation’, her first official musical offering. Much like female figureheads Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato who Megan considers hugely influential in her musical journey, lyrically they share similar running themes of self-assurance and empowerment. Growing up on pop-rock royalty Paramore and All Time Low have also played an important role in moulding her sound over the years. On both the making and meaning behind the debut single, Megan says of ‘Affirmation’ - “This song was the very start of my debut album, the first song I wrote up in Sheffield with Eliot and Jim, and it made me excited about writing music again. I had just started college and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, I was doing a music course but wasn’t that interested and couldn’t find something that I could fully relate to. I was 16 when we first wrote it, and hearing the change in my voice and confidence over the past three years is crazy.“ On the meaning of the song - “Within these last few years there’s been different situations in my life where I can really relate to the lyrics, and that’s something I always want to achieve with songwriting - that you can always relate in some way to what’s being said, and I love the timeline within the song itself. It’s based on a one sided relationship, which can also reflect on friendships. This has been a recurring theme for me and is the best way to let that frustration out, through music and especially lyrics.” Bursting at the seams with energy and attitude, ‘Affirmation’ boasts the perfect blend of cinematic chords and anthemic drums, all brought together by Megan’s sharp melodies. Alongside her full band, Megan presents the opportunity to experience the new music live with a headline homecoming show in Winchester on October 12th. Instagram | Twitter | Facebook | SoundCloud

Her upcoming second EP ‘Into The Blue Hour’ tracks her move from London to a tightly knit creative community in the seaside town of Margate. After trading the intrusive city skylines for an endless horizon by the sea, Mackey’s forthcoming music has a new sense of space, depth and introspection. The EP’s lead single ‘Distance (Blank)’ is available to buy and stream on all platforms. LISTEN here The founding member of Welsh shoegaze outfit Deaf Club, Mackey spent time immersed in East London’s creative ecosystem before moving south of the river. Since the group disbanded, Mackey became enamoured with London’s pirate radio networks and began making electronic music with an experimental focus, releasing her debut ‘Measures’ EP as Art School Girlfriend in late 2017. Now expanding on those electronic blueprints, the ‘Into The Blue Hour’ EP sees Mackey further develop her production tool kit and mastery of negative space. The beat-driven lead single ‘Distance (Blank)’ explores Mackey’s fatigue with crowded city living, feelings of claustrophobia and the desire to be out in a wide open space. The single is soon to be paired with visuals directed by Tom Dream. Art School Girlfriend embarks on her first full UK tour in October, beginning with a performance at London’s St Pancras Old Church on the 5th. Full details follow. Dua Lipa - (Complete Edition) will be available on digital, streaming and CD. Find Dua Lipa online: WEBSITE / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / FACEBOOK South London indie pop band Wolf Girl have announced that their second album ‘Every Now & Then’ will be released via Everything Sucks Music on 19th October. The announcement comes alongside a new single ‘Toast For Dinner’. Healey from the band, who is on lead vocals and guitar for this song but also handles bass duties and back-up vocals on various other tracks on the record, says:- “This song is a tribute to my love of amateur magic, dual guitar riffs and toast. Toast is maybe the greatest food of them all and it is also my go-to if I’m burnt out and can’t find the energy to eat/cook a meal. This song is about a point where I was finding it hard to say no to things and ended up constantly feeling physically and emotionally drained. Sometimes I fantasise about there being multiple versions of myself like in Fantasia’s ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ so I can invest myself fully in everything that I do.” ‘Every Now & Then’ consists of nine hook-laden tunes about queer feelings, coming out and dealing with social burnout and marks a real period of growth for Wolf Girl. With Healy helming the majority of the songwriting, each track acted as a strange kind of therapy and catharsis, exploring sexuality, gender identity and anxiety. The album was recorded with Mark Jasper of Sound Savers and the band really focused on capturing the energy shown in their live shows. New single & music video ‘Toast For Dinner’ out now: YouTube | Pre-order | Spotify | Apple Music There are a lot of firsts on this record. Christabel gets her first songwriting/lead vocal credit in the form of 'Dream Partner'. She’d chosen a deliberately ‘50s/’60s pop chord sequence and song structure so the band tried to emphasise that in the studio with handclaps and Wall of Sound/Joe Meek type reverbs. ‘Breaking News' also sees the addition of saxophone played by Phil Whaite of Guttfull. “Being fans of X-Ray Spex, Roxy Music and Downtown Boys, we knew we wanted to include horns on this track,” enthuses Healey. “It’s about "choosing to come out when you want", in a society where queer people are forced to do so repeatedly.” In the two years since the release of their much-loved first album ‘We Tried’, Wolf Girl have shared bills with the likes of The Spook School, Girl Ray, and Worriers. They’ve also branched out into other music projects, from The Whooperups (Healey’s collaboration with AC from the Spook School) to Suggested Friends (where Christabel also takes up the drums). The crunching, distorted guitars and catchy melodies that fans will remember from the band’s first album can still be found on ‘Every Now & Then’. But this new album is a bigger, braver and, at times, completely heart-breaking collection of songs and experiences – political, poignant, yet perfectly pop.
